Conversations with the Earth: By the Lake, in the Rain

"See & Draw" Art Workshop Series 8 Tegauma Park / Abiko City Keyaki Plaza "Sunny Nook" A forecast of storms— and yet, it seems the boat will sail. Before long, pouring rain. The air outside turns cold, the cabin grows damp. Will this rain, too, become the water of the lake? From the glass-walled studio on the eleventh floor, we look out at the hazy, rain-clouded sky. The same sky— yet each of us sees it differently. With the rainwater we gathered, let's draw whatever moves our hearts. From within everyday life, from the scenery that's right there. When you try to see, it comes into view. A gift from the heavens, the earth drinking deep.

それでも　船は出るらしい

激しい雨

外気は冷え　船内は湿気る

　

この雨も　沼の水になる？

ガラス張り　11階のアトリエから

けぶる雨空をみたら

同じ空から

十人十色

　

集めた雨水で

　

心が動くものをかこう

くらしの中から

そこにある景色から

みようとすると

みえてくる

天からの恵み

潤う大地
